As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting business leaders with insightful financial analysis, planning, and performance tracking. You will also take ownership of the company's tax planning, compliance, and audit processes.

Client Details

MY client is a fast growing business within the tech space. As they continue to expand globally, they're looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic finance team. This role is integral in driving strategic decisions, supporting commercial initiatives, and ensuring robust tax and audit compliance.

Description

Group Consolidation & Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated group accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting timelines.
  • Liaise with subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Commercial Analysis & Business Support:

  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support commercial decisions, investment cases, and business performance.

  • Partner with key stakeholders across departments to provide financial insight and drive profitability.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare reports for senior management and board presentations.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across the group.
  • Identify variances between actuals and forecasts, and provide meaningful commentary.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Coordinate year-end audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure financial governance across entities.

Process Improvement & Systems:

  • Drive efficiencies in financial reporting and analysis processes.
  • Support finance systems implementation or enhancements where necessary.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • 3+ years post-qualification experience in a group or commercial accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of group consolidations, IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
