The business is investing in new premises and moving from its current base in Dunstable to the outskirts of Bedford and easily commutable from Milton Keynes, St Neots, Biggleswade, Sandy, Luton and surrounding areas.

The Role

The Financial Accountant will support a newly recruited Financial Controller and be tasked with taking responsibility for the general ledger. This is an upgraded replacement role with an excellent opportunity to add value to the business in order to assist with continued and sustained development.

Day to day duties will consist of:

General Ledger: Oversee, ensuring accurate and timely posting of journal entries and supporting the month-end and year-end process.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Financial Analysis
Payroll preparation and reporting
HMRC Reporting: Ensuring VAT, Intrastat and other reporting are reported within governmental deadlines as necessary.

Your Profile

You will be a strong Financial Accountant with experience of maintaining relationships both internally and externally through communication and sense checking. Should you be willing to develop further and study in the future this will be supported to provide longer term growth and development for the successful individual. You must be self-motivated, able to act on own initiative and be able to communicate at all levels. This is an excellent role where development will be available under the guidance of an excellent manager and within a business that continues to change and develop.

Salary and Benefits

The role of Financial Accountant for Premier Cables in Bedford is offering a salary of circa £35K + Study and benefits and will be working in the office 4 days a week with one from home.
