Your new companyHays are working with a local manufacturing business in the Bedfordshire area who are seeking a highly skilled and Qualified Management Accountant to join there finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting cost analyses, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management principles.

Your new roleA Qualified Management Accountant plays a crucial role in an organisation's financial health and strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, produce financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyse financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Cost Management: Conduct cost analyses and identify savings opportunities, review and evaluate cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations, prepare business reports and forecasts.
  • Liaison and Advisory: Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out, provide advice on financial matters impacting the company.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing and analysing financial reports.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and advising.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
  • Education: A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Certification: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Experience: Several years of experience in Management Accounting, Finance, Business Partnering and Financial Management roles.
