The company has been established for over 40 years and has evolved from designing and manufacturing a single product to its position today as a leading UK manufacturer and worldwide supplier of bespoke machinery and systems.
As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to design and develop conceptual and detailed solutions to the agreed specifications, budgets, and schedules. You will also be involved in the verification and validation of machine design, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, involvement in the development work on all the machines, value engineering, create clear and accurate BOMs, documentation to support solutions such as assembly drawings and manual appendices.
What we would like from the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
- A degree in a mechanically biased subject such as Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in design within an industrial company manufacturing machinery, ideally within the packaging industry
- Experience using 3D design software (ideally SolidWorks)
- Good understanding of the Machinery Directive
What we offer the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Salary paying up to £55,000 doe
- 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Death in Service (3x normal annual salary)
- Full Sick Pay
- Pension 5%
- 38 hour working week (8.30 to 5 Monday to Thursday with 30 minute lunch break and 8.30 to 3 on Friday with 30 minute lunch break)
