Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a background in precision tooling and process improvement experience who is looking to join an innovative company at the forefront of their technology, with global travel and scope to progress internally, whilst working on a variety of technically exciting projects?

In this role you will work within a multi-skilled team, responsible for a range of tasks within process development. You will test and develop precision special purpose machinery, whilst also visiting customer sites around the globe, assisting with machine installations, upgrades and process developments on site.

The company is a market leader in precision tooling and have been at the forefront of technology for over 50 years. Their specialist services within precision tooling supply into a variety of industries, including automotive, rail, offshore, aerospace, pharma and industrial to name a few.

This role would suit somebody with a Mechanical or Optics background, with knowledge and exposure to working on special purpose machinery / precision tooling, who is looking to implement process improvements.

The Role:

  • Process during machine pass off/verification tests at on site and at customers facilities

  • Provide customer training for the range of grinding machines

  • Liaise effectively with project teams on a technical level

  • Complete regular site reports/visit reports, timesheets and other documentation as required

  • Assist with commissioning ultra-precision machine tools

  • Assist with set-up and error correction of ultra-precision machine tools

The Person:

  • Mechanical Engineer

  • Experience with special purpose machines / precision tooling

  • Process improvement experience within a previous position
