Role: Business Development Manager -Position Overview I am seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional for my client's team, focusing on driving customer growth, managing key customer relationships, and representing the Sales function within the operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Growth & Customer Management- Drive growth by securing profitable orders from customers.- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.- Act as the Sales representative within the operations team to ensure alignment and execution.Commercial Strategy & Execution- Identify and assess new business and adjacent market opportunities, including potential new services and standards.- Achieve sales and revenue growth targets consistently.- Lead negotiations throughout the business acquisition process.- Provide actionable commercial insights to guide business decisions.- Set sales price objectives based on market knowledge and competitor analysis, leveraging customer information and marketing feedback.- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor selling prices, and track the order intake target list.- Oversee customer turnover and manage its progression.- Address customer issues, including claims and logistic/quality crises, ensuring effective resolution.- Take proactive steps to reduce overdue accounts.Relationship Management & Collaboration- Develop and nurture strong professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.- Maintain and enhance high-level prospect relationships through regular face-to-face interactions.- Promote and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.- Ensure that offerings are competitive and fully compliant with customer expectations and requirements.- Collaborate with Key Account Managers in other regions to ensure consistency on a global scale.- Work closely with the operations team to prepare and submit competitive, timely, and technically sound quotations.- Participate in project teams to advocate for the customer's perspective on quality, costs, and delivery timelines.Qualifications & Experience- Proven experience in key account management or commercial roles.- Strong understanding of the automotive market.- Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.Core Competencies, Attributes- Expertise in building and maintaining customer relationships.- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and explore new markets.- Results-oriented, with a strong drive, determination, and resilience.- Proactively seeks out opportunities while minimising risks.- Adaptable and flexible, with an open approach to meeting diverse customer needs.Additional Information> Salary up to £60,000 DOE + 15% OTE> Company Car / Allowance> Location: Buckinghamshire/ Bedfordshire - Flexibility for remote work.> Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel within the UK and Europe.
