Cobalt is delighted to be representing an award-winning SME Facilities Services Provider as they look to continue the next step of their journey by hiring a Business Development Manager.

As a key leader within the brand, you will play a pivotal part on helping to establish your company within the Real Estate world by forging new and lasting partnerships with property landlords and managing agents across a variety of sectors. Our client has developed a product that will help improve sustainability and deliver cost-saving initiatives for your own clients, and as the Business Development Manager for the brand you'll spearhead the championing of your product and company across the industry.

This role will provide flexibility within a hybrid working pattern as you'll take full control of your own diary, organising it as you see fit in order to achieve your goals and financial targets. As the company grows from strength to strength there is scope for you to take on a leadership role in shaping strategic direction, making this a role that is rewarding both financially and in terms of your career development.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales and business development activities in the UK

  • Research client needs and identify how our technological solutions address them

  • Lead generation via cold calling, event participation, and networking activities amongst other avenues;

  • Presentation of expertise, technology, and products to interested prospects onsite and via web meetings

  • Identification of client use cases that can benefit from the companies solutions

  • Business value and gap analysis and solution design, supported by business consultants and technology professionals

  • Proposal creation and contract negotiation

  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our product offerings

  • Achieve company and individual objectives by planning thoroughly, setting personal sales goals, analysing performance data, and making forecasts

  • Develop skills continuously for effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives

Due to the nature of this role, it is imperative that the successful applicant has a proven track record in developing business with real estate clients, and is a self-starter able to articulate your plans and vision clearly to the board. Whilst this role is more hard-service focused, any background within FM will be considered whether soft services, total facilities or M&E orientated. The ability to drive within the UK and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
