Job SummaryWe are currently looking to permanently recruit Civil Enforcement Officers. The Civil Enforcement Officer will be responsible for providing a high quality of civil enforcement action throughout the locale with an aim to ensure the free movement of traffic and rotation of car parking spaces within the Car Parks and on street parking. The Organization endeavours to maximise compliance of its parking restrictions through education and enforcement by providing local residents, visitors and businesses clear and effective parking solutions.
Duties:
- Monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with local regulations and policies
- Issue citations for parking violations in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of violations and citations issued, including detailed report writing.
- Provide assistance to the public by answering questions related to parking regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies as necessary to address parking-related issues.
- To provide an efficient and effective service of parking enforcement in order to minimise parking in contravention through the issue of Penalty Charge Notices in appropriate cases.
- Being conversant with Road Traffic Law, Traffic Regulation Orders, relevant legislation and Civil Parking Enforcement practices and procedures.
- The processing of PCN's and issuing of permit.
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Prior experience in this role and in a Local Authority setting is an advantage.
- Fluency in English Language - speaking and writing
- A background in law enforcement or security is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing your time and responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Location - Thorn Turn, Houghton Regis or Sandy Depot, Sandy (Candidates are able to pick a preferred location.
