The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Amada, Trumpf, or similar machines to bend, fold, punch, or laser cut sheet metal. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional dedicated to quality and precision in a fast-paced, high-tech setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and program Amada, Trumpf, or similar machines to bend, fold, punch, and laser cut sheet metal according to engineering specifications.
- Set up, calibrate, and adjust machinery for production runs, ensuring optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to meet precise manufacturing specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections on completed products, ensuring all components meet tight tolerances and data centre specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to identify process improvements and maintain high productivity.
- Document and log completed work, following all operational procedures and quality standards.
- Adhere to all safety, health, and data security protocols while working within a data centre production environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Machinist or Machine Operator working with sheet metal, ideally with Amada, Trumpf, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in machine programming, setup, and troubleshooting on bending, folding, punching, and laser cutting machines.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings with precision.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with production teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Awareness of and adherence to safety and quality protocols, particularly within high-security data environments.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Technical certification or vocational training in machine operation or sheet metal work.
- Experience with computer-controlled machine programming or CNC technology.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and lean manufacturing practices.
