My Client specialises in the mechanical/industrial engineering industry and are looking for a CNC Miller/Turner to join their growing team!
Job Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation & Setup: Refer to technical documents to set up CNC machines and tooling, operate CNC controls with basic programming knowledge, and produce components adhering to company standards. Includes gearshaper machine operation.
- Quality Control: Conduct first-off checks, use measuring equipment to ensure dimensional and visual accuracy, and make necessary offset adjustments for error rectification.
- Maintenance & Safety: Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine lubrication, ensure safety standards, and report defects to minimize downtime and waste.
- Process Improvement & Collaboration: Engage in Kaizen activities, collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality, and Supervision to solve problems, and optimize efficiency.
- Additional Duties: Perform assembly tasks and take on additional reasonable tasks or projects as required by the Manager.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in setting and operating CNC Turning, Milling, or Mill/Turning machines, with proficiency in reading engineering drawings and understanding geometric tolerancing.
- Skilled in using various engineering measurement tools and techniques.
- Demonstrates manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
