Electrical CAD Engineer

SRM Recruitment are working on behalf of a well-established electrical contracting company. Specialising in new build residential developments, they work with some of the UK’s largest developers, providing expert electrical installations across London and the Home Counties.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer to join their team in Bedfordshire.

• Create and develop CAD drawings for electrical installations in domestic properties, including flats and communal areas.
• Convert electrical consultants' drawings into detailed, working site plans.
• Design flat lighting layouts, ensuring coordination with ventilation, sprinkler systems, and other key elements.
• Produce schematics for various electrical systems, including LV, Access Control, AOV, and BT.
• Liaise with architects and site teams to ensure designs align with client specifications and project requirements.
• Manage and update drawings throughout the project lifecycle based on feedback and revisions.

Skill requirements

• Experience in domestic electrical systems
• Knowledge of electrical installations in houses, flats, and communal areas.
• Familiarity with tray work and containment systems.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
