About the Role:

Our client, a global manufacturing leader, is seeking a number of skilled and adaptable Field Service Engineers to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge machinery, providing repair, refurbishment, installation, and commissioning services across the UK and Ireland.

This role requires extensive travel, with approximately 4–5 days per week away from home for general service duties, and longer durations during the installation and commissioning of new machinery. Occasional travel to the company’s Italian headquarters for training and machine testing is also part of this role, with very occasional deployment worldwide during quieter periods in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, refurbish, and maintain a variety of machinery.
  • Install and commission new machines at client sites across the UK and Ireland.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers to ensure effective machine operation.
  • Travel to the Italian headquarters for technical training and machine testing.
  • Write detailed reports on completed work and customer visits.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients to build strong relationships.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Knowledge of PLC fault finding, end-line packaging machinery and understanding of inverter drives and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with Siemens S7, TIA, and Allen Bradley platforms.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the UK & Ireland (and occasionally overseas).
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication and report-writing skills.
