A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a team of six and oversee the accounts payable function. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely supplier payments while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing and creating new supplier accounts in line with company policies
- Overseeing invoice processing, authorisation, and allocation using internal systems
- Reconciling monthly supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring smooth month-end purchase ledger closures
- Leading a team through one-to-one reviews, appraisals, and compliance checks
- Supporting the business with ad-hoc analysis and projects
- Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable team in a medium/large organisation
- Strong knowledge of AP functions, accounting systems, and MS Excel (Pivot Tables & V-lookups)
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a "can-do" attitude
