As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting business leaders with insightful financial analysis, planning, and performance tracking. You will also take ownership of the company's tax planning, compliance, and audit processes.

MY client is a fast growing business within the tech space. As they continue to expand globally, they're looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic finance team. This role is integral in driving strategic decisions, supporting commercial initiatives, and ensuring robust tax and audit compliance.

Description

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering:

  • Partner with commercial, sales, and product teams to drive financial performance and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support pricing strategies, investment decisions, and forecasting.
  • Monitor KPIs and deliver regular performance reporting and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and present monthly business reviews and insights to senior leadership.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.
  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost control, and operational efficiency.

Tax Management:

  • Oversee corporate tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors.
  • Manage VAT, R&D tax credits, transfer pricing, and international tax matters where applicable.
  • Assist in optimizing the company's tax position and planning for future tax efficiency.
  • Ensure all statutory obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Coordinate the year-end audit process with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Drive process improvements in financial reporting and audit readiness.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5+ years of experience in a finance role.
  • Strong background in commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering within the tech/software sector preferred.
  • Experience managing tax and audit processes, ideally in a multi-entity or international environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling business.
