Finance Business Partner (Technical)

A Local Authority in Bedfordshire who are looking to appoint a talented Finance Business Partner on an Interim basis, are working with Spencer Clarke Group to find a successful candidate.

What's on offer:

  • Rates: £640 - £800 per day, inside IR35.

About the role:

Deliver the Council's Financial Statements in line with Statutory requirements and timescales. Manage the Council's Technical Accounting functions including Capital Strategy/Planning, Treasury Management, Banking, Taxation, and the Accounts Payable team.

Responsibilities:

Based in Bedfordshire(Fully Remote):

  1. To Lead on Capital Strategy development, capital planning and annual capital budget process.
  2. To lead the closure of accounts, production of the Statement of Accounts External Audit and member training, complying with agreed timetables.
  3. Manage and motivate a team of finance staff in the delivery of financial support services.

About you:You will have the following experience:

  • Must be CCAB or CIMA Qualified with post qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Have a good level of understanding of accounting principles and standards and legislation relating to Local Authority accounts.
  • Experience of final accounts closure, budget planning and capital financing.
