Role: Head of Group Accounts

Location: Bedford

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Salary: £50,000 + bonus

I am looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Group Accounts to join a Family-Run Office based in Bedford with 5 limited companies. Role will be to work from Bedford Office. Occasional travel may be required, with businesses based currently in Liverpool, Bedford, Ashford, London and Haslemere.

What will you be doing in the Head of Group Accounts role?

• Overall responsibility of the Accounts
• Manage elements of the budgeting process, including monitoring, and reporting on financial performance
• Managing VAT returns
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making at both strategic and operational levels
• Act as mentor for accounts assistant

What we would like from you:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/AAT) or equivalent in experience
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Experience of with Sage 50 and Xero
