Job description: Class 2 Home Delivery Driver - Two-person team
Candidates MUST hold a Class 2 category entitlement on their driving licence and ALSO a driver Digi card and Driver C P C
We are looking for Drivers who:
- Demonstrate a respectful, positive attitude towards others. Behave in a fair and open manner
- Work effectively as part of a team - the role is working as a 2-person crew
- Work safely within the Health, safety, and environmental guidelines and insist others do the same
- Hold a valid Class 2 Driving Licence
- Have a valid Digi tachograph card and Driver CPC
- Know the geographical area
- Have a basic mechanical understanding
- A full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
- A valid Driver Qualification Card
- Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
- Experience within home delivery network
- Excellent customer services both written and verbal
This is a home delivery role, which would involve delivering items up to and including 80 kg as part of a two-person crew.
Multi drops to customers properties (including Room of choice)
Carrying items up to 160kg with lifting aids
Tachograph compliance (manual entries etc)
A typical day would consist of between 25 and 50 deliveries to customer homes/premises spanning 11 hours (typical finish times are around 16:00 to 17:00)
Due to the nature of the role the candidate(s) would be required to be in good health and able to carry out manual handling tasks without issue.
Skills
- Hold a valid driving licence with the appropriate entitlements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver
- Familiarity with driving larger vehicles
- Ability to drive efficiently and safely
Location: MK43 9AA
Start time: 06 AM - 5 PM
Shifts: 5 days on 2 days off
Sunday to Thursday
Tuesday to Saturday
Pay: £ 14.59 per hour
OT: £18.24 per hour
Probation: 3 months
Paid weekly
Average of 48 hours per week
Experience of driving Class 2 minimum 6 months
