About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join its team. This role involves close collaboration with the Account Manager, Product Developer, Technologist, and Designer to ensure a smooth product delivery process. The Merchandiser's expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the critical path for multiple product areas from a wide group of specialist factories.
- Ensuring customer deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Providing regular updates to customers on delivery schedules to maintain confidence in the service.
- Collaborating with the Account Manager and Product Team to ensure costings align with target margins.
- Reviewing and updating monthly turnover documents for presentation to the Chief Executive.
- Setting up stock codes and raising factory orders using the internal Sage system.
- Creating delivery schedules and liaising with factories to maintain the critical path.
- Working closely with the department Technologist to provide product callouts for marketing purposes and coordinating with M&S on requirements.
- Ensuring product packaging is ordered in line with critical path deadlines and updating customer systems accordingly.
- Managing marketing and e-commerce samples for customers.
- Maintaining an up-to-date catalogue of products each season.
- Providing ad hoc reports to the commercial team as required.
- Attending weekly internal and customer meetings.
- Adapting to company growth, new customers, and new factories.
- Supporting the New Business Development Manager and Chief Executive in exploring new business opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong numeracy, planning, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within a small team.
- Experience in critical path management.
- Confidence in leading customer meetings and navigating negotiations.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
