Role SummaryDunbar Education is thrilled to represent an outstanding opportunity for a passionate Science Teacher to take on the Head of Faculty role within a high-achieving Science department. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team of seven Science teachers, fostering a positive learning environment and consistently delivering strong results. This is a role for an inspiring leader with a drive to innovate and support a collaborative team culture.

The Opportunity

  • Lead the Science Faculty, raising standards and ensuring exceptional teaching across the department.
  • Foster and communicate a shared vision within the team to support and inspire growth.
  • Play a key role in the operational leadership of the academy, collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Contribute to strategies that drive teaching excellence, student achievement, staff development, and well-being.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Collaborative, forward-thinking, and committed to achieving the highest standards.
  • Proven record of successful teaching across all key stages, with an ability to make learning both challenging and enjoyable.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status and a strong academic background, ideally with an Honours Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with both curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Exhibits high personal standards, including reliability, punctuality, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach to teaching and leadership.
  • Engages in CPD and open to further professional development.
