Equal Education Partners is on the lookout for a passionate Teacher of Science, on behalf of our partner Client, a leading 11-18 school that is experiencing an exciting stage of transformation and growth. With significant investments aimed at elevating the educational experience, we are eager to welcome a talented educator to help inspire the minds of our students starting in January 2025 or Easter 2025, based on availability.

About the Science Department

The Science faculty caters to a diverse group of learners aged 11-18, with a curriculum designed to meet various levels of ability. Students begin their journey in mixed ability groups, progressing to Separate Sciences and Combined Science at KS4 following the rigorous OCR Gateway syllabus. At the Sixth Form level, students can choose to study AQA Biology, OCR A Chemistry, and OCR B Physics. The department is well-resourced and prioritizes experiential learning, with practical experiments being a crucial part of the educational philosophy.

Your Role as a Teacher

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional educator specializing in Science, ideally with a Chemistry/Biology specialism up to and including KS5. The role includes developing innovative teaching materials and sharing fresh ideas that contribute to the growth of the department. You will have the excitement of shaping young minds and fostering an enduring passion for Science. Additionally, you are expected to participate in the integral form tutor role, providing support and guidance to students.
