Planning Solicitor

£42,000 - £55,000

Panoramic Associates have partnered up with one of our local authority clients in the Northern Home Counties, who are looking to recruit a Planning Solicitor to join their established legal team.This role is offered on a hybrid basis however, there is great flexibility on offer within the team to work the majority of the time on a remote basis with only occasional office attendance being required for planning committee.

The salary on offer ranges between £42,000 - 55,000 per annum dependent upon experience and for those with a strong background working within local government an additional car allowance of up to £3,000 is also on offer.

The organisation also offers great permanent benefits to employees including employer pension contribution of 19% and excellent flexible working policies including working hours and time off in-lieu policy allowing additional days annual leave.The successful candidate?will have conduct of Sec.106 planning agreements and advise on highways matters.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handling a caseload of planning law matters including drafting s106 agreements
  • Providing legal advice on a wide range of planning matters.
  • Advising on highways matters
  • Handling planning enforcement matters such as issuing planning enforcement notices.
  • Attend planning committees on behalf of the local authority

An ideal candidate will consist the following skillset and attributes:

  • 3-5 years PQE as a Planning Solicitor
  • Previous experience working within a local authority
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of planning law
  • Preferably previous experience advising on highways law
