Reed Legal have an opportunity for a Qualified Solicitor, either with experience in criminal law or a newly qualified solicitor with a deep interest in this field, to join a busy, established firm. This role offers the chance to handle both privately funded and legal aid work across a solid and varied client base.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage in magistrates’ court work and thorough file preparation.
  • Attend police stations as required.
  • Participate in the firm’s out-of-hours rota, which is separately and generously remunerated.
  • Work towards managing your own caseload independently.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting to ensure high standards of client care and case management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong and charismatic personality, capable of running their own caseload or working towards doing so.
  • Police station accreditation or keen to become accredited.
  • A positive approach, strong work ethic, and excellent client-care skills.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Compliant with LAA and Lexcel requirements.
  • Must be willing and able to drive out of area when required and have access to a car.
