With a reputation for efficiency, accuracy, and client-focused service, we are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Secretary to support our team of solicitors and ensure the smooth operation of our conveyancing processes.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Senior Legal Secretary with extensive experience in residential and commercial conveyancing. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to our legal team, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of property transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to solicitors specializing in conveyancing.
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
- Handle and process Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions, and mortgage documentation.
- Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Communicate professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other legal professionals.
- Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with compliance and regulatory standards.
- Conduct legal research and assist in case preparations where necessary.
- Process client invoices, monitor billing, and handle financial transactions related to conveyancing.
- Ensure all documents and files are maintained and stored securely, following GDPR and confidentiality regulations.
- Train and mentor junior legal secretaries and administrative staff when required.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretarywith a strong background in conveyancing.Minimum of 3 years.
- In-depth knowledge of residential and commercial property transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Excellent typing skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations, AML requirements, and data protection laws.
