Macildowie Supply Chain, Procurement & LogisticsWarehouse Manager U- p to £35,000 Per Annum - BedfordMonday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pmMacildowie Supply Chain, Procurement & Logistics has exclusively partnered with a manufacturing organisation based in Bedford to recruit a Warehouse Manager to manage a team of 8.The key objective is to ensure that stock levels are accurate and support cross functionally with stock forecasting.Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing of products.
  • Monitor and analyse warehouse performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, and inventory accuracy, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead and collaborate with warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance review.
  • Develop and implement warehouse operating procedures and standards to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Carry out thorough inventory management practices, including accurate tracking of stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and coordinating with purchasing and logistics teams to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Manage warehouse equipment and facilities, including routine maintenance and repairs, to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Forklift activities loading/unloading/receiving/replenishment.
  • Ensure accurate data is entered into the WMS
  • Adhere to all warehousing handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Maintain standards of Health and Safety, Hygiene and Security throughout the warehouse, including key holder responsibilities.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience operating in Warehouse Manager roles or similar.
  • Familiar with WMS systems.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • Able to travel to Bedford.
  • Excellent communication skills.
