Role Summary
- Lead all aspects of mechanical design related to project work within the business.
- Design and develop mechanical systems while adhering to budget, timelines, and resource constraints.
- Produce 3D drawings in SolidWorks and 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
- Create detailed BOMs (Bills of Materials) for all designs associated with projects.
- Perform R&D-related tasks to support the innovation goals of the business.
- Provide mechanical assembly and disassembly support to the workshop when required.
- Program CNC machines and perform CNC tending and machine setup.
- Liaise with customers and attend both onsite and offsite customer meetings.
- Report project status to senior mechanical design engineers and the company.
- Research and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends within the mechanical design sector.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues effectively.
- Maintain a high level of respect and professionalism toward all staff members.
