Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Head ofStrategic Commissioning Consultant for our Public Sector client.

This Commissioning Lead role will develop a Commissioning Delivery Plan that will focus on policy and practice to reduce third party spend.

Lead on the development, implementation and management of the Adults' Service Commissioning Delivery Plan.

Key responsibilities for the Head ofStrategic Commissioning Consultant are;

  • Create a Commissioning Board with the remit of setting the commissioning priorities, consolidating and overseeing the current workstreams
  • Establish regular commissioning meetings with commissioning partners to identify areas for joint commissioning opportunities
  • Develop a care home framework/DPS
  • Work with care providers to refresh the Market Position Statement
  • Review approach to market management and fee uplifts, consider the formation of a provider forum(s) and/or other means of having structured and regular communication with the social care market
  • Support the Commissioning service redesign that builds capacity & capability across the organisation.

The Ideal candidate for the Head ofStrategic Commissioning Consultant will have;

  • Local Authority Commissioning experience at Deputy or Head of level
  • Experience of Commissioning of Adult Services
  • Demonstrable track record of implementing Market Position Statement
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong communication skills.
