Breif overview:

  • To take overall responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the service, thereby ensuring the provision of the highest quality standards of diagnosis specific care and treatment, driven by the needs of the individual.
  • To lead, manage and direct a multidisciplinary team in the attainment of aims and objectives linked to Brainkind Strategic Plan and the needs of the individual.
  • To meet full compliance in line with the requirement of the regulatory body and relevant legislation.
  • To market the service to all potential commissioners and referrers with the key aim of creating new business opportunities.
  • To manage organic and planned change within the service, to meet the demands of new business.

Essential Criteria

Education & Qualifications

  • Must hold a current clinical qualification with a PIN and no practice restrictions (Hospital roles).
  • QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or commitment to work towards this qualification.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong understanding of statutory requirements and legislation within social care/healthcare.
  • Familiar with quality assurance measures, internal/external audits, and implementing improvements.

Experience

  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality residential care.
  • Experienced in working with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Skilled in managing and mentoring staff, conducting formal supervisions, and appraisals.
  • Familiar with budget management, policy implementation, and handling disciplinary processes.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel as required.

Desirable Criteria

  • Educated to degree level in Health/Social Care.
  • Experience in business planning within the healthcare sector.
  • NVQ/QCF Assessors Award.
  • Experience managing complex and diverse services.
  • ICT qualification and formal presentation skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for training and meetings.
