Package/Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + £6,500 Car Allowance + 2 days WFH

We are offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor, working on a variety of high-profile projects. You will be commercially leading a circa £40m Industrial & Logistics project in Bedfordshire, along with other exciting projects across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Cambridgeshire. This is a key role where you will be responsible for all commercial and contractual matters for the projects allocated to you, with the opportunity to manage and mentor a team of surveyors and assistant surveyors to ensure the successful delivery of each project.

About the Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking the lead on the commercial aspects of a circa £40m Industrial & Logistics project in Bedfordshire.

  • Overseeing all commercial and contractual matters on the projects assigned to you.

  • Managing surveyors and assistant surveyors to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • Preparing valuations, managing costs, and overseeing payment processes.

  • Providing financial and contractual advice to the project team and key stakeholders.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have:

  • An accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES), or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

  • Alternatively, a degree with a focus on numerical or technical subjects is advantageous.

  • Relevant HND subjects may include building/construction, civil engineering, structural engineering, or urban and land studies.

  • Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Project Quantity Surveyor (PQS) in the built environment, particularly on large-scale projects.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
