We are seeking a TUPE Specialist to join our HR Operations team on an interim basis. This role involves ensuring the business meets its obligations under TUPE legislation by providing expert consultancy and support. You will be directly reporting to the Corporate Director for HR Operations and will play a crucial role in managing complex employee transfers.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage complex transfers, resolve issues, escalate risks, and stay organised to ensure deadlines are met. Evaluate processes afterwards to capture lessons learned.
  • Provide expert advice to HR, the programme team, and senior stakeholders.
  • Liaise with legal providers or seek relevant advice as required.
  • Lead on resolution of complex post-transfer queries or issues that require escalation, identifying any risks and constraints.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly to senior leaders, stakeholders, and individuals using written, presentational, and verbal skills to address issues, challenges, or to influence recommendations and proposals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A strong working knowledge of TUPE legislation and procedures, with relevant experience in a HR function managing employee transfers under TUPE regulations.
  • Experience in investigating complex transfer information, data, and HR policies to inform decisions on people management issues and to influence strategy and service delivery agendas.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex matters clearly and succinctly to a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of establishing professional relationships with a range of stakeholders at different seniority levels, ability to influence and negotiate on complex matters, and uphold a positive team spirit, championing inclusive values.
