We are looking for an experienced Internal Account Manager to join our Clients team who are a leading supplier of plastics. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing existing customer accounts, as well as identifying new business opportunities as well as having a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service.
Objectives of this role
- Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
- Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
- Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
- Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts Identify new business opportunities
- Work closely with the external sales team to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded
- Provide excellent customer service Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Prepare reports on account status
- Attend trade shows and other industry events as required
- Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
- Stay on top of accounts, making sure they receive services that are within their budget and meet their needs
- Meet regularly with other team members to discuss progress and find new ways to improve business
- Generate progress reports for clients and senior leaders within the organization
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the sales team regularly
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Internal Account Manager or similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM software is a plus
