My client is a well established business with service sector, due to a period of extensive change and business improvement, they now have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. Hybrid working will be available once fully up to speed. Monday - Friday 35-hour working week.

Working from the Office in Bedford, you will report into the Financial Controller with.

Bank postings and bank reconciliations

Monitoring lead spend and lead delivery against invoicing and payments to identify unfulfilled orders, and preparing month end prepayments/accruals thereon

Journal preparation and posting, including payroll journals and intercompany journals, expense system journals

Management charge calculations and invoicing across the group

Assistance with VAT returns

Completion of National Statistics forms

Assistance with work on trading companies as and when required, including:

Revenue and cash reconciliations

Cash allocation to debtors and reconciliations

Support the MD on ad hoc basis and project work.

Applicants should have a good detailed knowledge of accounting principles coupled with a good level of IT Literacy. Ideally, AAT qualified and are looking to take the next step in their studies. Knowledge of Sage is a major advantage but not essential.
