We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in Bedford, working with learners aged 2 to 19 years with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Profound Learning Difficulties (PLD). This is a rewarding role offering a competitive daily rate, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with diverse needs
* Manage challenging behaviours effectively
* Support learners' communication needs using strategies such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable)
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with SEN learners in the UK
* Strong understanding of behaviour management
* Team-Teach certification (desirable)
* Experience with symbol communication systems such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable)
