About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team at a secondary school in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This long-term role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs as well as Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a TA in the UK, either in primary or secondary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH and SEN.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a TA in UK schools (primary or secondary).
- Understanding of SEMH and SEN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
