Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one or group support for SEN and PMLD pupils.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and specialists to implement individualized learning plans.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports students' well-being and engagement.
  • Assist during lessons, break times, and school activities to ensure inclusivity.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources to enrich the classroom experience.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN and/or PMLD pupils is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to connect with children, staff, and families.
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm, adaptable approach to diverse learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage but not required.
  • Flexibility to address varied learning challenges.
  • Local to Ware with a reliable commute.
  • Full driving license preferred.
