Role: Part-Time/Supply SEN Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support for SEN students, adapting materials to meet individual needs.

Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
Foster a nurturing, safe space that encourages student engagement and well-being.
Support students during lessons, break times, and other school activities.
Help prepare learning materials and resources.

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children with SEN is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills to connect effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting diverse needs.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are a bonus but not essential.
Ability to adapt to different classroom challenges.
Local to Kempston with a full driving license.
