Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support for SEN students, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
- Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
- Foster a nurturing, safe space that encourages student engagement and well-being.
- Support students during lessons, break times, and other school activities.
- Help prepare learning materials and resources.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are a bonus but not essential.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom challenges.
- Local to Kempston with a full driving license.
