Are you an experienced SEN Tutor with expertise in Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring? We are looking for a skilled and compassionate tutor to support students with special educational needs in Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to make an immediate impact, starting straight away.

Key Responsibilities of a SEN Tutor:

  • Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in Functional Skills (English, Maths, ICT) and GCSE subjects to students with a variety of learning needs.
  • Provide targeted support to help students achieve academic success, improving their confidence and skills.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the individual learning styles and requirements of each student.
  • Monitor progress, set achievable targets, and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and school staff to ensure a consistent approach to learning.

About You:

  • Proven experience as an SEN Tutor, ideally with a background in Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring.
  • Strong understanding of different learning difficulties (e.g., Autism, ADHD, dyslexia) and how to support students with SEN effectively.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a passion for helping students reach their potential.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to cater to a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and their families.
  • Local Commute in and Bedford.
