Pay: 130 - 150 per day

Key Responsibilities of a SEMH Tutor:
- Deliver tailored tutoring in Functional Skills (Maths, English, ICT) and GCSE subjects, specifically for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
- Provide support to help students build their academic skills, confidence, and independence.
- Adapt your teaching approach to suit individual student needs, ensuring inclusivity and engagement.
- Monitor progress closely, set achievable targets, and offer constructive feedback to both students and their families.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and school staff to maintain a consistent approach to learning and wellbeing.
About You:
- Previous experience in tutoring students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with SEMH.
- Familiarity with Functional Skills and the GCSE curriculum.
- Understanding of learning difficulties (e.g., ADHD, autism, dyslexia) and how to effectively support these students.
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive in your teaching approach.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with students and their families.
- Based locally to Bedford with a reliable commute.
