Thorn Baker's Award-Winning Modular Specialist client are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Finance Director to join their leadership team as part of their ongoing growth and development. Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director, Group Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial leadership role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Detailed Knowledge of IFRS 15 and how it applies in a rental and long-termcontracting business is preferred. Knowledge of IFRS2, IFRS9, IFRS16, foreign exchange and consolidation accounting would also be helpful.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, analysis, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • High IT competency - advanced excel user.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth plans.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Hands on leader; Not scared to get into the detail, you will be technically competent with the ability to deal with the challenges of an ambitious, growing group.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with other senior leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic and divisional decision-making through strong communication skills.
  • Cost Management: Drive cost efficiency across the business, optimising financial resources and enhancing profitability.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders including auditors.
  • ERP implementation: Drive the business adoption of the newly implemented IFS ERP system, initially in terms of post go-live stability but in time ensuring its future development in support of the CTO
