Our client is a Large Accountancy firm based in Belfast. They are looking for a Accounts Assistant who will provide support within our Outsourcing team in our Belfast Office. This role is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home. We are looking for someone who is eager to develop their career in the processing of accounting records, preparing bank reconciliations and can work in a fast-paced environment, whilst demonstrating professionalism. Core duties will include:

  • Processing accurate accounting records including cash book, purchase ledger, sales ledger and nominal ledger
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and arranging bank payments and transfers
  • Acting as a brand ambassador for RSM UK’s clients by liaising with third parties, e.g. insurance companies
  • Meeting all set deadlines provided with the consensus to work independently.

Ideal candidates must have the following:

  • Good standard of education with GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients
  • Self-motivated and organised. Can plan own time ensuring targets and deadlines are achieved
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and is confident in liaising with people at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Aware of client needs and expectations - acting promptly to resolve matters and remaining professional throughout.
