- As a Senior Big Data Developer you will be involved in building a next-generation Data Fabric to revolutionize approach to Business, Analytical, and Regulatory needs

- Day rate: ~£550-£600/day - Inside IR35
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 11 months (highly likely to be extended)
- Hybrid working - 3 days/week in the office
- You NEED to be based in Northern Ireland / Belfast. We cannot accept applications from any other location.
Key responsibilities of a Senior Big Data Developer:
- Onboard new users and clients to our Big Data platform
- Set up and maintain automated build pipelines
- Conduct code reviews and optimize query performance
- Develop scalable, fault-tolerant big data solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data requirements and quality issues
Required Skills and Experience for a Senior Big Data Developer:
- 5+ years of experience in big data technologies, with 3+ years in Apache Spark and Cloudera
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Kafka, and YARN
- Excellent programming skills in Python and/or Scala
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
