Based in Belfast, a leading and reputable law firm are currently seeking an experienced Solicitor (Casualty Injury) to join their well-established team.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position.

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Salary negotiable (dependent on experience)

Job Role:

You will be responsible for working within the casualty injury team, handling all types of employer’s liability, public liability and disease cases.

Essential Criteria:

  • A Solicitor (3-5 years PQE) with a keen interest and enthusiasm for and ideally, prior experience in, employers and public liability personal injury litigation and disease.
  • Able to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues with a concern for quality of service.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail conscious and able to produce work to a high standard.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Running, and assisting team partner, in running a case load of pre-litigation and litigated work with the appropriate levels of supervision. These will include cases where liability is disputed.
  • Supervision responsibilities within the team.
  • Hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rate and average claim spend.
  • Support marketing and business development activity within the team e.g. attending marketing events and client training.
  • Maintain an awareness of firm's procedures and strategies.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications.
  • Handling confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.
