Position Overview:
You will be responsible for safely operating a telescopic handler (telehandler) to lift, move, and place materials around a busyconstruction site.You will ensure efficient material handling while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. The project will be the construction of a new build commercial building. Our client is focused in the facade sector. The duration will be in the region of 50 weeks.
It would be ideal if you are able to lead a team of labourers and distribute tasks throught the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Telehandler to lift, transport, and position materials safely.
- Inspect and Maintain Equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Follow Safety Protocols to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with site regulations.
- Load and Unload Materials efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with Site Operations by coordinating with other workers for material handling.
- Adhere to Worksite Instructions from supervisors and project managers.
Qualifications required:
- CPCS (A17c)
- Fit to work certificate (Not essential but preferred)
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in high-risk environments (e.g., construction sites, ports).
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor maintenance.
- A willingness to lead a team of labourers
