Acorn by Synergie are searching for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a manufacturer business based in Duncrue, Belfast.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide engineering support to the production team ensuring as much production up time as possible.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out all planned, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance systems.
- Investigate, root cause analyses and resolve problems relating to machines and provide support for process and quality issues.
- Ensure all related documentation & record keeping for the shift is up to date.
- Provide comprehensive breakdown information and actions taken to support the planned maintenance system.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and requirements.
- Take Health, Safety and Environmental ownership of themselves, others and activities within their areas of responsibility and raising all HSE concerns they become aware of, outside their areas of responsibility, with relevant managers.
The successful candidate must be time served electrically or mechanically and have at least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience working within a similar position ideally in a production environment.
Must have good knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems and good working knowledge of product transfer systems.
Hours of work are a mixture of 12 hour days and nights over a 5 week period.
