Service Engineer – Machine tool Agent

Belfast and the surrounding areas.

45,000 – 53,500 euros, Starting Salary (39-hour week) + Door to door pay (Standard rate Mon – Fri, Saturday 1.5x and Sunday 2x) + annual bonus scheme, fully expensed company car or van, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Contributary Pension Stakeholder scheme, Product specific training given in Germany.

My client is a well-established, top ten Sunday times fast track winning machine tool agent with a diverse portfolio of high-end machine tools to a range of blue-chip clients. Due to recently winning on the agency for a further 2 Machine tool brands they are now looking to expand their team to take on a further service engineer with Fanuc experience.           

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machine tool service engineer or experienced maintenance engineer to join a team committed to investing in your professional development. Not only this, but they use intelligent scheduling methods to maximise your work life balance.

The Role

  • You will report to the management team made up of ex-service managers who will provide guidance to support a sensible approach to the weekly work schedule.
  • Install, commission, and service high end CNC machinery.
  • You will provide breakdown support, fault diagnosis and repair to electrical and mechanical faults.
  • You will fault find on Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain control systems.
  • You will exchange ball screws, fit spindles and perform geometric re-alignments.
  • You will become a specialist within their product portfolio.
  • Overnight stays and travel are required on occasion within this role.

Requirements

  • Confident in machine control operation to complete diagnostics.
  • Sound mechanical knowledge of CNC machines required to perform mechanical tests, exchange ball screws, spindles and perform geometric alignments.
  • Experience in Fanuc controls is essential for this role, additional experience with Siemens and Heidenhain is also beneficial.
  • A professional service demeanour and strong attention to detail to uphold the company reputation.
  • A valid UK passport/ the right to work in the UK indefinitely.
  • UK driving license is an essential.
