About the Role:
My client is seeking a Quality Manager to cover a 12-month contract at their Belfast site. In this role, you will oversee and enhance their quality management systems, ensure full compliance with industry standards, and lead key quality initiatives. You will also be the point of contact during audits, ensuring that processes meet regulatory and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the ongoing review and upkeep of quality manuals, operational guidelines, and product specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant external standards, including BRC and ISO 9001, while ensuring the business aligns with internal policies.
  • Lead the implementation of BRC9 systems and serve as the main representative during external audits.
  • Develop, oversee, and audit all food safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain all food safety and quality assurance policies as directed by the organisation, including risk assessments and safety systems.
  • Handle the Customer & Supplier Complaint systems, including investigating issues, resolving product non-conformities, and liaising with customers.
  • Perform additional duties as required to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, food science, or chemistry (preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing or logistics (beneficial).
  • Knowledge of chemical storage and/or distribution processes (advantageous).

Key Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with ERP and database systems.
  • A customer-first approach with a positive attitude.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
