MANE are currently recruiting for a Stores Person for our Manufacturingg client based in Belfast. As a Stores Person you will play a key role in developing and managing stock control processes within our ERP system, as well as establishing and maintaining a well-organised stores location. This position is pivotal to ensuring efficient management of incoming parts, consumables, and outgoing products, fostering a streamlined work environment that enhances overall business performance and staff productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement stores and stock control processes within the ERP system, including the creation of detailed work instructions.
- Set up and manage store and bin locations.
- Maintain accurate stock movement records in the ERP system.
- Receive and perform visual inspections of incoming parts.
- Verify part numbers and quantities against purchase orders.
- Conduct basic dimensional inspections in alignment with engineering drawings, as needed.
- Assemble kits for line feeding and ensure timely preparation for production.
- Maintain Kanban bins for production consumables.
- Perform regular inventory counts and audits.
- Issue parts to production teams while accurately recording stock transactions in the ERP system.
- Manage inventory using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles.
- Document and report weekly visual inspections of racking systems.
- Collaborate with the Quality and Supply Chain teams on product returns (RTVs).
- Support the Quality Team by promoting a quality-first mindset.
- Assist other business functions as required.
- Prioritise Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in all activities.
- Foster strong working relationships across teams at Artemis Technologies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing stores and bin locations.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain Kanban supply systems.
- Experience in assembly kitting for line feeding.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Skills
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in operating a Forklift Truck (B1 license required, B2 preferred).
- Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous).
- Skilled in using basic inspection tools such as verniers, height gauges, tape measures, and surface finish gauges.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply basic tolerancing principles.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of long-span pallet racking inspections and non-conformance reporting (desirable).
