About The Role
Morrison Energy Services - Electricity Transmissionis recruiting for aPortfolio Managerto work on one of our 2 key customer accounts SSE or SPEN.

As thePortfolio Manageryou will be part of the leadership team who are responsible for the Portfolio Management of all projects under the specific client area.

Contracts under your portfolio will be all schemes released under your key customer area, and will range in size and complexity with multiple projects / programmes delivered in parallel.

As the Portfolio Manager your responsibilities will include:
  • Drive safe behaviour through your actions
  • Support and stand in for members of the Senior Management Team as required
  • Show business development acumen
  • Be Client facing lead all discussions at your portfolio level
  • Portfolio level management of resource
  • Develop and enhance new business streams
  • Ensure commercial controls are in place and regularly tested
  • Understand commercial position, risks and opportunities across your portfolio
  • Develop the next generation of Project Managers
  • Provide guidance, support and boundaries to the Project Managers to meet governance requirements
  • Lead tender and estimating actions within portfolio
  • Ensure that projects within the portfolio align with the businesses strategic goals and objectives
  • Ensure that all projects within the portfolio are delivered to the required quality, complying with all necessary quality standards / specifications.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and outcomes for the projects in the portfolio
