Reed Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our esteemed client based along the Central Belt, who are looking for a highly successful and driven Supply Chain Director. This pivotal role involves leading the Customer Services, Planning, and Warehouse/Logistics Teams to achieve strategic objectives. The Supply Chain Director will be instrumental in driving production and inventory optimisation to not only meet customer service level expectations but also to ensure effective cost control measures are in place within the plant operations.
Day-to-day of the role:- End-to-end management and coordination of customer order processing across various departments.
- Optimisation of Customer Services Administration, Production Capacity planning, Finished Goods Warehousing operations, and regional inventory levels to meet service requirements and achieve inventory KPIs.
- Ownership of all SAP Progress elements under the scope of the role, including data accuracy, process automation, and required reporting.
- Develop supply solutions for customers with complex needs using various models to meet SLA and contractual requirements.
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective planning of manufacturing capacity to meet demand.
- Manage team recruitment, performance, coaching, mentoring, and development.
- Develop roles & skills matrices within reporting teams and encourage cross-skilling to reduce bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and drive overall supply chain success.
- Manage procurement and contractual deliverables with external transport and warehousing providers to ensure adequate capability.
- Champion continuous improvement tools to address supply chain challenges.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to Product Safety & Hygiene Procedures within the department.
- Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Commercial or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role managing complex supply chains, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficient in SAP/MRP/ERP systems, project management tools, and Six Sigma statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of QSE, Health and Safety, and Hygiene & Product Safety rules.
- Strong skills in relationship building, strategic vision, people management, and structured problem solving.
