Blue Arrow Derby is proud to be working in partnership with an independent family run business, who are looking to recruit a Head Chef to join their team on a full-time permanent, based at their farm and café shop.

Hours: Full-time

Daytime working hours including weekends

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000

What duties will I be doing in the Head Chef role?

  • Kitchen Management - oversee all kitchen operations, including cooking, stock control, ordering, supplier liaison, financial analysis.
  • Leadership - building strong relationships with colleagues and kitchen teams to build a positive, motivated and engaged team.
  • Food Safety - ensuring full compliance to maintain 5- star food hygiene rating and collaborate with the leadership team
  • Staffing - manage staffing levels and create rotas to maximise efficiency
  • Menu development - engage with continuous improvement & work with other departments & suppliers to source ingredients to craft dishes, always upholding our high standards and passion for amazing fresh food.
  • Preparation - support on all the menu & produce high quality fresh food daily when on duty as Chef for the day
  • Ensure health and safety and employment policies are adhered to
  • Cleaning down all equipment used when on duty as Chef for the day
  • Product development - support the Bakery team with product development ideas for the Deli and Bakery range in the farm shop.

What will you bring to the Head Chef role?
