Macildowie Recruitment & Retention - Data, BI & MI Analytics SQL Developer - Up to £40,000 Per Annum - Belper Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm - Hybrid/Remote Working Available Macildowie Data Analytics is delighted to partner with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a SQL Developer.

The key objective is to run ETL process that involves cleansing and manipulating SQL code as well as supporting internally colleagues with the build of sales and marketing focused PowerBI dashboards. Main Responsibilities

  • Nurture and implement data pipelines that extract, transform and load data using into our clients Azure/SQL Server environment for use with reporting tools such as Power BI and SSRS.
  • Partner with the wider Data/IT teams to create and maintain the performance of the businesses data warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines implementing ETL/ELT processes using the appropriate business tools.
  • Design and developing scalable SQL ETL packages from the businesses source systems.
  • Analyse and review complex and large data sets, systems, data flow, dependencies and relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the entire Data & Analytics teams, providing support to the entire department for its data centric needs.
  • Document and record Data architecture, policies and procedures.
  • Transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive business growth and optimise performance.
  • Identify trends and issues as well as creating purposeful BI/MI and automated dashboards using PowerBI that help our clients business evaluate sales and marketing performance.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience working in a Data Analyst, BI Developer, BI Analyst or similar.
  • Proficient with back-end data warehousing tools such as Azure and SQL.
  • Comfortably able to cleanse and manipulate SQL scrips and work with large and complex data sets.
  • Exposure to PowerBI.
  • Ability to create meaningful, clear dashboards with appropriate value-adding commentary.
  • Proficient in using data reporting tools such PowerBI including DAX and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
